Beautiful travel writing case in mahogany.
It opens to reveal a sloping worktop with leather edged in gilding.
The lower half opens onto a storage space lined with polychrome paper.
Side drawer with pin, removable pigeonhole.
Blackened wood and brass diamond-shaped keyways with pearls and scrolls.
Bronze drop handles, original key.
Circa 1860.
Height 17 cm, width 49 cm, depth 29 cm.
