Rare "Soleil" table with system created in 1870 by E. Chouanard. 

Tilting table top, central cross-shaped foot with recessed castors, height adjustable by means of a rack and pinion. 

The tray has a hinged edge so that sheets or books can be placed when it is tilted. 

Side slide.

Bronze rack and pinion mechanism.

Very good general condition.

E. Chouanard is the engineer and sole dealer for this "Soleil" table system.

Brass plate on the barrel: "Marque de garantie - Table Soleil - Brevetée - Paris".

Height at the lowest point (top horizontal): 76 cm.

Height at the highest point (top horizontal): 116 cm.

Tray: Width 89 cm, depth 51.5 cm.
