Exceptional piece of furniture in blackened wood and rosewood veneer.
The front features two fixed panels and a large leaf, with detached columns in blackened wood.
Brass and pewter inlay with foliate scrolls, acanthus leaves, palmettes and lapis lazuli inlays.
Gilded bronze ornamentation: marble molding, rings for the columns, framing for the leaf and rods for the base.
Inlaid modillion entablature, red Levanto marble top.
Moulded base with springs, pad feet.
Oak frame.
A very refined piece of furniture, most probably from a large Parisian house.
Circa 1860.
Height 112 cm, width 126 cm, depth 45 cm.
