A handsome blackened wood stand.

It opens with two doors featuring angels and putti reading.

Maple veneer interior, concealed rack and pinion lock.

Brass fillets and marquetry: pampers, foliage scrolls, flower falls, garlands of leaves with lictor beams, crescents, grecques and flower vases.

Ornamented with gilded bronzes: uprights with leafy consoles, pampers, plumes of leaves and flowers, apron with asymmetrical foliage.

Veined white marble top, oak frame.

Pad varnish.

Around 1860.
