Paul Sormani (1818-1877)
Beautiful mahogany, gilt bronze and brass middle display case.

The upper part, with four curved glasses, opens through a door.
Cornice with inverted doucine and springs, fluted uprights.
The lower part opens through a drawer in the front.
Sheathed legs with fluted corners, crotch shelf.
Rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes: openwork gallery, rings, sabots, scrapers, frames and fillets.
Oak and mahogany frame, highly crafted piece of furniture.

Lock signed: Paul Sormani, 10 rue Charlot, Paris.

Around 1860.
