Important pair of Louis XVI style two-light sconces in gilt bronze and chased. 

The shaft, adorned with filleted flutes and laurel garlands, is topped by a fire pot urn.
The light arms are chased with acanthus leaves, water-leaf bobèches, twisted flutes and rais-de-coeur cups.

Beautiful gilding, after a model by Jean-Louis Prieur.

Around 1930. 

Height 45 cm, width 25 cm.

Similar models are preserved in the Louvre Museum, the Musée des

Arts Décoratifs in Lyon, the Württembergisches Landesmuseum in
Stuttgart, and the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
