Beautiful Transition-style jumping chest of drawers.
It opens on the front with two drawers with no crosspiece and a central projection, and features cambered legs.
Important inlaid decoration: interlacing in the waistband, draped urns in partially stained wood, Greek-style frames.
Rounded mounts with false fluting.
Rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes: antique-style corner falls, pull rings, lock escutcheons, apron and clogs.
In the taste of Simon Oeben, famous 18th-century cabinetmaker.
Skyros marble top.
Circa 1930.
