Beautiful pair of Empire style armchairs in mahogany.

Reversed backs, armrests with cuffs.

Sheathed uprights, sabre-shaped back legs.

Gilded bronze ornamentation: palmettes, rosettes, foliage, stars, Athenian busts, claws.

Empire style silk trim.

Fine quality, circa 1900.

Seat height 41 cm, backrest 97 cm, width 60 cm, seat depth 48 cm.

Worn silk, one bronze missing from a backrest.
