Charming secretary in cherry and walnut.
It opens with four drawers and a flap in front, inlaid with amaranth, rosewood and sycamore.
The flap reveals six drawers and a leather-covered top (used).
Rounded, fluted uprights. Double-panelled sides.
Sheathed legs with lugs, curved crosspieces.
Patinated bronze ornamentation: pull rings and lock escutcheons with pearls and knotted ribbons, sabots.
Fir wood backs, original locks and key.
Royal red marble top (chips at rear corners).
Late 18th century.
Height 134 cm, marble width 74 cm, marble depth 37 cm.
