Charming carved and molded walnut secretary.
It opens with a flap and two secret drawers on the front.
Cornice with guilloches, doucine and inverted cavet, uprights with fluted columns.
The flap panel features scrolls and shells, and a medallion with putti.
Interior in maple veneer, four drawers, leather top edged with gilding.
The lower part is open, with a fluted back, feathers and oval finial.
Openwork baluster gallery, smooth columns, toupie feet.
Pink marble top.
High-quality oak and walnut frames.
To be compared with the work of Honoré Dufin.
Circa 1880.
