Beautiful Louis XVI period mahogany guillotine secretary from Cuba.
On the top, two glazed leaves.
In the middle, a green leather-covered flap reveals six drawers.
On the bottom, two paneled leaves reveal an open part and a compartment with an oak flap.
The rounded uprights are fluted and roughened, and end with spinning top legs.
This secretary of a remarkable quality is in very good condition.

Late 18th century period.

Guillotine secretaries are called "secrétaire à guillotine" when the top of the secretary is fitted with a glass or window (small showcase).

Height 197 cm, width 90, depth 41.
