Beautiful desk in solid mahogany and veneer.
Upper section with two glass doors and three small drawers.
Veined white marble top.
Folding top with leather top (used).
Lower section with two large drawers, spindle feet and fluted jambs.
Gilt bronze ornamentation: openwork gallery, lock escutcheons and sabots.
Brass frames on front and sides.
Oak frame, stamped varnish.
Late 18th century.
Height under drawers 58.5 cm, total height 121 cm, width 83.5 cm, depth closed 42 cm, depth open 64 cm.
